“Perlisten hosted one of the most impressive 2CH demos we heard at Florida International Audio Expo this year. This system featured the R-Series of products which are the more affordable series in their line up. The R5m monitors and dual R-210s subs were integrated with perfection. We didn’t hear the typical sub/sat performance. Instead, the sound was completely seamless and integrated. Bass was superbly linear and even from seat to seat, free of resonances or boom.

The R5m portrayed a huge soundstage with precise imaging and beam like focus. The dual R210s produced ungodly deep and clean bass on tracks like “Make Us Stronger” from Ghost Rider. I interviewed Chief Designer and CEO Dan Roemer to discuss the benefits of a sub/sat speaker system and how they can actually outperform a full-range towers with no powered subs. We discuss how multi-sub properly placed and set up in the front corners of the room can combat Speaker Boundary Interference Issues (SBIR) that plague speakers positioned in the room for best imaging properties. The additional benefits of sub/sat systems include: increased dynamic range, better clarity from the monitors which are freed up from bass duties, and more even bass across the entire listening area.

Out of all of the numerous demos at Florida International Audio Expo 2023, this was our favorite to listen to and we kept coming back throughout the day to enjoy more music.”

“If you run a medium-sized home cinema room with 20 or more seats, you should definitely consider the D212s. For the living room we recommend the smaller D15s or D12s.”
